speakUP Community Outreach Classes

Interested in creating a recurring drama program for your community organization, co-op, or troop?  We’d love to bring our team of teaching artists to YOU on a weekly or monthly basis!  Programs can be developed based on a theme or choose from some of our current curricula.

In these monthly Arts Integration classes, children will explore basic public speaking elements including: projection, articulation, inflection, memorization, interpersonal communication, active listening, eye contact, turn-taking, confidence, reading aloud, and characterization. speakUP: Drop in Drama classes are taught ONCE A MONTH within different homeschool co-ops and each feature a different theatre technique or discipline. At the discretion of the host organization, students may register for classes a la carte or for the entire series.  The 2018-19 monthly topics are:

September: Movement for the Stage

October: Stage Make-Up

November: Vocal Techniques for the Actor

December: Poetry

January: Improvisation

February: Stage Combat

March: Readers Theatre
